Plains Regional Regatta
Coming Spring 2025 | Wichita, KS
Wichita State University’s Shocker Rowing is proud to host the annual Plains Regional Regatta. The regatta will hold races for teams in the Plains area of the United States, providing them with the opportunity to a water race close to home.
The Plains Regatta hosted 6 teams in 2024: Kansas State University, St. Thomas University, University of Kansas, Oklahoma State University, University of Nebraska - Lincoln and Wichita State University.
The teams were set up to the south of River Vista, in the Delano Park area. Races started every ten minutes or so and raced 1600 meters, finishing at River Vista. Bystanders and boats set up on the sidewalks facing the river.
