Your generosity has enabled thousands of students, faculty and staff to enter our doors with dreams and goals, and to exit with the tools and determination to reach their potential.
During the past year, we have seen great progress. The completion of the Marcus Welcome Center is the most visible enrichment to our university. The Welcome Center was only a dream nearly five years ago, and with the help of people like you, it has become our new front door – to connect the university and its mission with the students, alumni and community we serve.
We are proud of our accomplishments and we strive to meet ongoing and future needs. The new West Campus will open its doors in early 2006. In addition to more classroom space, this full-service campus will provide an onsite bookstore, computer lab, and admissions and financial aid staff. The West Campus will offer nearly three times as many classes as the Westside Center when it opened during the 1994-95 academic year.
I encourage everyone to walk through our doors – current and prospective students, their families, faculty and staff, alumni, donors and members of neighboring and business communities. This is your university – this is Wichita State.
