Volunteers still needed for scholarship competition

Faculty and staff volunteers are still needed as observers during WSU’s premier scholarship competition, the Distinguished Scholarship Invitational. About 250 top high school students from around Kansas and the United States will participate in the competition.

DSI, a tradition at WSU for more than 40 years, will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Rhatigan Student Center. Observers are being asked to donate their time for one of the following three shifts: 1:30-5 p.m., 3-6:30 p.m. or 5-6:30 p.m. If you can help, call DSI coordinator Jennifer Chapman by Wednesday, Nov. 4, at ext. 3635, or e-mail chapman@twsuvm.uc.twsu.edu. Novice observers can get some insight into what they will be asked to do during one of two training sessions Nov. 4 and 5.

Inside WSU is published by the Office of University Communications for Wichita State University faculty and staff on Fridays - with an exclusive online versionevery other Friday - during the fall and spring semesters. Items to be considered forpublication should be sent to campus box 62 or amy.geiszler-jones@wichita.edu 10 days before publication.
