It’s not too early to send holiday greetings One of WSU’s longstanding holiday traditions gets under way this month. For more than 25 years, faculty and staff have contributed to a fund that benefits students and sends holiday greetings to the WSU community, as well. The Holiday Greeting Card Scholarship is the brainchild of the late Nicholas Pronko, professor emeritus of psychology. He thought that by having just one holiday card for all employees, faculty and staff could use the portion of money they normally spend on cards and postage to help students. Last year’s effort resulted in $3,392 in scholarship money. Names of those who have donated to this fund by Thursday, Nov. 19, will be printed in a holiday greeting in the Dec. 4 issue of Inside WSU. Donations after Nov. 20 will be noted in the Jan. 29 issue. Contact Susan Lee, ext. 3837, or lee@twsuvm.uc.twsu.edu, for more information.
