Top scholars to be announced

Two high school seniors will receive Kansas’ largest scholarships in announcements scheduled for next week.

The recipient of the $44,000 Clay Barton Scholarship, awarded by the W. Frank Barton School of Business, will be announced Monday, Dec. 7.

The winner of the $40,000 Gore Scholarship is to be announced Friday, Dec. 11.

Because of outstanding market performance, the Clay Barton Scholarship was increased this year by $14,000, making it the largest scholarship in Kansas.
