Fine arts attorney to speak at alumni breakfast

Alumna Deametrice Eyster’s professional journeys have led her from nursing to law to theater. Starting out in surgical nursing and nursing education, Eyster later returned to college, graduating from Wichita State as an Emory Lindquist scholar, summa cum laude, with a degree in philosophy in 1993.

She attended Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, where she now resides and where her passion for theater led her to a career as an attorney for fine arts and entertainment. And in 1998, she formed the theater production company Blue On Blue, which has most recently produced the dance musical "Paris."

Taking as her breakfast topic "The New Theater," Eyster will speak at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the Olive Tree, 2929 N. Rock Road. The cost is $15 per person.

Eyster is the fifth speaker in the Distinguished Alumni Breakfast Series. The final breakfast lecture will be delivered by former ambassador J. Daniel Phillips on Thursday, April 18.
