Scholarship started to honor Myers

As a way to honor College of Fine Arts dean Walt Myers, who’s retiring this spring, a scholarship to benefit students has been established.

Myers has been at WSU for 39 years, serving nine of those years as fine arts dean.

The scholarship emphasizes the need to develop students in and through the arts as important human resources and in particular to promote creativity, adaptability and better communication.

For those wanting to contribute, send donations for the Walter J. Myers Endowment for Educational and Excellence In and Through The Arts in care of the WSU Foundation, box 2. For more information, contact Sharon Miles, 978-3945 or sharon.miles@wichita.edu.
