Get
Out. Get In. Get Neighborly

Carmen Hytche
Find
out whats going on beyond your corner of campus and learn
a little history along the way through a new series of events for
the WSU community.
Each
stop on the Campus Discovery Tour will reveal a different facet
of the university.
As
Shirley and President Beggs took evening walks on campus this summer,
it occurred to them that we often dont know about and appreciate
the interesting people, places and activities WSU offers.
President
Beggs asked that tours be organized for faculty and staff to learn
more about WSUs "Thinkers, Doers, Movers and Shockers."
Teresa
Veazey, education curator at the Ulrich Museum, will provide insight
about outdoor sculptures adjacent to tour buildings.
The
tours kicked off yesterday (Oct. 3) with tours of Wallace Hall and
the National Institute for Aviation Research.
The
tours will continue periodically through fall 2002.
The
tour schedule for this fall semester is, with tours tentatively
scheduled to start at 2 p.m.:
Oct. 17 WSUs oldest building, Fiske Hall; Jardine Hall;
and the newly renovated McKinley Hall
Oct. 31 Rhatigan Student Center, CAC Theater, the Geology
Building, and Neff Hall, where the anthropology museum is located.
Nov. 7 Morrison Hall and Grace Memorial Chapel.
