Business etiquette, time and stress management among Business Week topics

If you’re not minding your business manners or you need ideas on managing stress and time, check out some of the sessions being offered during WSU’s Business Week March 4-8.

For the second year, the Barton School of Business is hosting Business Week.

All the sessions are open to the public, however, some are more student-focused than others.

Business Week sessions include:

• "Business Etiquette and Protocol: Essential Skills for the Competitive Advantage" by Tish Cohlmia of Cessna Aircraft, 8-9:15 a.m. Monday, March 4, and repeated 9:30-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, in 203 Rhatigan Student Center. The presentation will cover business etiquette as it relates to both electronic and face-to-face communication.

• "Help I’m Drowning! Time Strategies for Busy Lives" by Barton School instructor Dianne Coleman, 10:30-11:20 a.m. Monday, March 4, and repeated 5:40-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in 203 RSC. • "Commercial Real Estate: Where Business Opportunities Build," 7:15-8:30 p.m. March 4, 203 RSC. Real estate jobs are more than a yard sign and a Sunday open house. Find out more about career opportunities in commercial real estate from Wichita’s professionals.

• "The Top 10 Ways to Build Immunity to Stress" by Don Nance of WSU’s Counseling and Testing Center, 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Thursday, March 7, in 215-218 RSC, and 4-5:15 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 206 Clinton Hall.
