the quintet members
Frances
Shelly has performed extensively throughout the United States, Central
America, Canada and Europe with Shelly/Egler Flute and Organ Duo.
The pair has commissioned, premiered and recorded several new works
for flute and organ. The duos CD "The Dove Descending" is
on the Summit record label.
Jim
Jones is a member of WSU's Wiedemann Trio and founded WSUs
American Music Festival, the Wichita Clarinet Society and the Harvey
Music Festival in Newton, Kan.
Jones
has performed with numerous orchestras throughout the country and
was guest principal clarinet in the San Diego Symphony.
Amy
Goeser is oboist in other ensembles including Trio Akkobasso, which
originated in Germany. Goeser lived in Germany for nearly 10 years
and was a member of the Staatstheater Orchestra in Freiburg im Breisgau.
Goeser
also is a member of Trio 335, which recently performed in Buenos
Aries, Argentina, and also released a complete recording of J.S.
Bachs "The Art of the Fugue" on the Equilibrium label.
Nicolasa
Kuster has held positions in Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra, Rhode
Island Philharmonic, Virginia Symphony, and Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
She has spent the past five summer seasons performing with the Spoleto
Festival Orchestra in Spoleto, Italy, where she has accompanied
performers such as Pavarotti, Domingo, Flemming and Thibaudet.
Nicholas
Smith formerly was principal hornist of the Oklahoma City Symphony
and assistant principal hornist of the Rochester Philharmonic. He
served in teaching and performing roles with summer festivals such
as the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, the
Brevard Music Center and the Bay View Music Festival in Michigan.
