Shelly has performed extensively throughout the United States, Central
America, Canada and Europe with Shelly/Egler Flute and Organ Duo.
The pair has commissioned, premiered and recorded several new works
for flute and organ. The duos CD "The Dove Descending" is

juniors honored
Kansas
high school juniors in the top 10 percent of their class and their
parents have been invited to Presidential Scholars Day at WSU from
9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, and Thursday, Feb. 28. The program
is designed to honor the students outstanding academic achievements.
Vespers
canceled
The
Rie Bloomfield Organ Series three vespers concerts scheduled
for 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays Feb. 27, March 6 and March 13 have been
canceled.
Poetry
reading rescheduled
A
reading by WSUs writer-in-residence Terese Svoboda has been
rescheduled from Friday, Feb. 22, to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6,
in the same location, 209 Hubbard Hall. Svoboda has been at WSU
since Feb. 11, working with WSU poetry and fiction students. She
concludes her residency March 18.
