Regents to visit WSU

By Nikki Hansson

The Kansas Board of Regents will convene at WSU April 18-20. The nine regents, along with the board’s executive director and members of the Council of University Presidents, will be involved in several meetings.

Meetings, however, are only part of the visit. WSU is taking this opportunity to showcase many of its programs and facilities.

Participants will tour the Ulrich Museum, the outdoor sculptures and the 24-hour study room in Ablah Library. Other stops include the honors program, the anthropology museum and the Hughes Metropolitan Complex.

The 36 participants also will be treated to area attractions and a baseball game in the newly renovated Eck Stadium.

There also will be an opportunity to speak with unclassified professional representatives and other WSU employees.

This event provides the regents a look into the campus to see some of the improvements being made and to see a few places where help is needed in providing better facilities and opportunities for WSU students.
