Alyce Jeanette Hickman, 86, of Arvada, Colo., died April 10. Mrs. Hickman had worked in the registrars office from 1968 to 1985. She is survived by son John of West Dundee, Ill., and daughters Allison Gardner of Longmont, Colo., and Sylvia Hoctor of San Diego. A memorial has been established with Exempla Lutheran Hospice, c/o Lutheran Medical Center Community Foundation, Wheat Ridge, Colo. Velma Jacques Staplin, 88, of Wichita, died April 24. She retired from WSU in May 1971 from her job as a library cataloguing clerk. She had worked at WSU for 16 years. Among her survivors is son Loren of Allentown, Pa. A memorial has been established with the St. Thomas Becket Episcopal Church Cochran Mortuary. Frances Templeton Stemm, 88, of Wichita, died April 10. Mrs. Stemm worked at WSU from September 1945 until she retired as director of student records for the business school in 1974. Her survivors include daughter Temple Elliott of Somers, N.Y. A memorial has been established with The Hospice Atlanta Center, Georgia National Cremation Society in Lilburn, Ga. |
