Latin, German majors suspended
The Latin and German majors, offered through the department of modern and classical languages and literatures by the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, have been suspended for three years. A lack of Latin majors and a lack of teachers for German classes led to the decision, says MCCL chair Dieter Saalmann. No new majors are being accepted, however, minors are still available. The German program will be re-evaluated in spring 2001 and the Latin program in fall 2001.
