Duo to appear in organ series

Organists Colin Andrews and Janette Fishell will perform in WSU’s Rie Bloomfield Organ Series at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, in Wiedemann Recital Hall. Two children’s concerts will be at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Andrews, an England native, and Fishell, head of organ and church music programs in East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., have appeared as solo recitalists at many of the world’s most prestigious venues. Multiple concert tours include Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Since their marriage in 1989, they have performed recitals that combine solo and duo organ literature. Last year, they undertook a 33-concert, worldwide engagement tour.

Admission to the evening concert is $7 with discounts available. Tickets for the children’s concerts are $2. For reservations, call ext. 3233.
