Spinning thespian tales
for breakfast
Actor, director, playwright and educator Ron Wilson will be featured in Wichita State University’s Distinguished Alumni Speaker Breakfast Series at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Traditions Café. Wilson is the Katharine Bakeless Nason Professor of Theater at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. Previously an associate professor of theater at Cornell University, Wilson has gathered professional laurels in theater, mime, vaudeville/clown theater, music theater and dance since graduating from Wichita State in 1976. "The Hollywood Canteen" and "The Last Days of Route 66" are among the plays written by this talented alumnus, who takes as his breakfast topic "An Education in Art and the Art in Education." The WSU Alumni Association sponsors the breakfast series. The cost is $15 per person; $7 for WSU students. For reservations, call ext. 3290 by Monday, Nov. 8.
