Chamber quintet is first 2000 Connoisseur Series act

A chamber music quintet, Amerigo Ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, in Miller Concert Hall as part of WSU’s Connoisseur Series.

In addition to performing, the four Americans and one Venezuelan have a mission to bring understanding to audiences by performing music of varied cultures and finding the common threads that bind people together.

These musicians, busy soloists in their own right, also are committed to educating audiences to demystify classical music in classrooms and to stimulate young and old to find their own creative and musical ideas.

Tickets are $16 general admission, $14 faculty/staff, senior citizens/military and $6 to WSU students. Call 978-3233 for reservations.
