Graves to deliver Berg lecture

Kansas Gov. Bill Graves will deliver the 14th annual J.R. Berg Distinguished Petroleum Lecture at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Bank of America auditorium, 100 N. Broadway.

Graves will talk about "The Kansas Petroleum Industry: Fuel for the 21st Century." The state’s oil industry has been in a slump for a few years.

The J.R. Berg Distinguished Petroleum Lecture series is sponsored by the geology department, in cooperation with the Kansas Geological Society. It was founded in 1987 to honor Berg upon his retirement, after teaching geology for 40 years at WSU.
