Make a run (or walk) against hunger

Volunteers from the WSU community are needed for an effort that supports the Wichita community.

The Kansas Food Bank Warehouse's 24-hour Race Against Hunger starts at noon, Friday, Oct. 1, in Cessna Stadium.

In addition to runners and walkers to represent WSU in the recreation division, participants also are needed to count laps and run the scoreboard. Each participate is asked to donate five canned goods. Volunteers in the event will receive a free T-shirt.

Boxes to accept donations to the Kansas Food Bank Warehouse will be set up in various campus locations later this month.
