Congratulations, it's a Shocker!
As you've been helping your child look for a suitable university, you've probably noticed: Your child and you aren't necessarily looking at the same features. Right?
So this is our opportunity to tell you about some of the benefits that your incoming freshman son or daughter might overlook. The boring stuff. The not-so exciting stuff. And, probably, the kind of stuff that can keep a parent awake all night worrying.
We have doctors, nurses and insurance specialists, and our Student Health clinic is open 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
Our academic advisors genuinely care about your student and their academic progress. Learn more about the advising process.
Sometimes we all need someone to talk to, and to help sort out the tough stuff. WSU students have access to professional counselors to help them address their personal concerns.
WSU has a tremendous safety record. Our on-campus police force is available (and on patrol) 24 hours a day.
And there's more, of course. Follow the links below to get a broader sense of the ways we'll take care of your student in their home away from home.
