LEGO Robotics Day (4th-6th grade)
This special event is a mini version of our popular LEGO Mindstorms Robotic summer camp. It is intended for children who are new to LEGO Robotics, or who have some experience, but want to learn to operate the new EV3 MINDSTORMS kit. Participants will build robots with motors and sensors to perform tasks and respond to their environment. Once you have mastered the fundamentals, you will have your robot complete challenging courses. Learn about basic programming, problem solving, and teamwork.

It will be led by Steve Smith, Steve teaches middle school mathematics at Christa McAuliffe K-8 Academy. He leads robotics workshops for students at his school, and workshops for parents, teachers, and mentors at Wichita State University. Steve has been bringing teams to the WSU Shocker MINDSTORMS challenge for 13 years.

There is a $50 charge for the one-day event. This includes an instruction book and a buffet lunch.
