DESCRIPTION:Have you set up direct deposit yet?\n\nDirect Deposit refunding is the most effective method to receive refunds. WSU will attempt to disburse refunds to the refund enabled bank account in your Student Account Payment Profile. If you have not added a bank account to your Student Account Suite Payment Profile, and enabled it for refund disbursement, a paper check will be issued instead. \n\nTo set up Direct Deposit, go to http://myws u.wichita.edu, select the "My Account" tab, then Student Account Suite. Once you are in the suite, go to the tab for REFUNDS and select PAYMENT PROFILE. Under the drop down for "Add a Payment Method", choose - Electronic Check. Then you will need to enter your bank information. The very last box on this page is "Refund Option" - be sure to check this box. Once you do that, your direct deposit will be setup.\n\n\nFall 2011 Financial Aid Refunds:\n- Direct Deposit - Beginning August 17th\n- Paper Checks Mailed - Beginning August 18th\n\nPaper check disbursements are issued in cases where Direct Deposit information is not on file for a student. Checks will be mailed to the student's home address. Does the University have your current address on file?\n\nTo verify/change your home address, go to http://mywsu.wichita.edu*, select the "Student Resources" tab, and then click on the link to Self-Service. Inside Self-Service, click on "Personal Information", then click on "View Addresses and Phones" and follow the instructions.\nPICKING UP A FINANCIAL AID REFUND CHECK IS NOT AN OPTION.\n\nRefund checks not cashed within 120 days of issuance are not valid. These checks will be put on stop payment and cannot be cashed.
