Professor Davis is a noted teacher and in 1994 became the only woman and first American to earn the French "Certificat d'Aptitude de Professeur d'Orgue." In January 2012, she was awarded a major distinction given by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication: “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.” She is a leading international concert organist who created the Wednesdays in Wiedemann series at WSU in 2007.
