Have you been rockin' the ear buds a bit much lately, or do you turn up the volume on your favorite show to hear it better?

Visit Wichita State University's Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic on free hearing screening days - Mondays in October (7, 14, 21 and 28). Appointments are open to the general public and available from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 1 - 4:30 p.m.

Current WSU faculty/staff/students are eligible for a free full hearing evaluation throughout the year and a 10% discount on hearing aids. The clinic also offers affordable hearing evaluation services, hearing aids and more to the general public. Feel free to ask for details.

Senior Wednesday: David E. Seibel, "Ornithologists, Artists and Bird Paparazzi of Kansas"

Examine the rich and colorful history of Kansas ornithology and the nexus between artists, photographers and cinematographers focusing on birds as their subjects. David E. Seibel, ornithologist and professor of life sciences at Johnson County Community College, shares insights in concert with the Ulrich exhibition, "Nature's Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention."

Senior Wednesdays are informational and entertaining sessions designed for active seniors age 55 and better and are offered by a collaboration of ten institutions.

Exhibition: Nature's Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention

Student Organization Development Program
Location: 266 Rhatigan Student Center

Student organizations and their leaders face a constantly evolving list of challenges to the success and development. This program is a leadership program geared towards developing organizations and their leaders to better prepare them for success.

The program will require organization representatives to attend at least 80% of the seminars and complete a follow up project to be submitted to Student Involvement and presented to their organization.

Seminars will include

- Emotional Intelligence
- Recruitment
- Motivating the Middle
- Branding and Leadership Styles
