|Youth Outreach: Middle School Band Day
Location: Duerksen Fine Arts Center, Miller Concert Hall
The WSU School of Music and Senseney Music, Inc. will host their annual Middle School Band Day. This event provides middle school band students a chance to play band music side-by-side with members of the WSU Bands. Students will have the opportunity to attend a mini-recital by WSU School of Music instrumental students and faculty.
Open to area schools.

Around the World Wednesday
Location: Ablah Library, Reserve Area, Leisure Reading Room
Travel the globe during lunch with "Around the World Wednesdays" presentations from the 14 Cultural Ambassadors about their countries and cultures. Faculty, this is an excellent assignment for your students. It is informative, enjoyable and small enough for good discussions. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Pre-Tenure Club: The New(ish) Professor as Teacher

The pressures of being a new professor are many. In this session we will discuss ways that newer (i.e., pre-tenure) faculty members can alleviate some of those pressures by implementing teaching strategies that can increase teaching effectiveness, student learning and teaching evaluations while also decreasing workload and stress.

Student Organization Development Program
Location: 266 Rhatigan Student Center
Student organizations and their leaders face a constantly evolving list of challenges to success and development. This program is a leadership program geared towards developing organizations and their leaders to better prepare them for success.
The program will require organization representatives to attend at least 80% of the seminars and complete a follow up project to be submitted to Student Involvement and presented to their organization.
Seminars will include:

- Emotional Intelligence
- Motivating the Middle
- Branding and Leadership Styles
