Awareness : Hate WallLocation: Hubbard Hall Lobby Members of the WSU community are encouraged to stop by the Hate Wall, where participants can write words they would like to see eliminated in our community. At the end of the event, students will burn down the hate wall to symbolize the destruction of barriers of racism and stereotypes. We acknowledge that individuals may be offended by the words scribed on the wall, however, that is exactly the point of the project. Through construction of this display, the OMA hopes that the community will better understand the impact of these words and behaviors and take a stand to eliminate these words from our interactions and conversations. Contact the Office of Multicultural Affairs for more information at 978-3034 or www.wichita.edu/oma. For more information, call (316) 978-3034 or email oma@wichita.edu. Open to WSU Community.
