Curator's Talk on Warhol: Eric C. Shiner
Andy Warhol was one of the 20th century's most innovative artists. From his early illustrations to his late paintings, Warhol was a pioneer who ignored reigning art world taboos by incorporating fashion and celebrity culture into his pop art. The curator at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh visits the Ulrich to address the pivotal role these topics played in Warhol's work.

Shiner is the Milton Fine Curator of Art at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is an active writer, translator and adjunct professor of art history at the University of Pittsburgh.

This event is held in conjunction with "Snap: Andy Warhol Photographs, 1970-1987," on view at the Ulrich Museum through Dec. 18.
