|21st Annual Elements Multi-Media Art Competition

Location: Rhatigan Student Center, 1st floor
View the artistic talents of WSU students who were selected to participate in one of WSU's longest-running art competitions. Entries were submitted in five categories including drawing, ceramics, mixed media, painting and printmaking. Winners are selected by local Wichita artists and will be announced at the Reception and Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the RSC, 1st floor.
Entry Form Deadline: Tuesday, Nov. 5 by 5 p.m.

Location: Charles Koch Arena
Current Wichita State students can pick up free tickets with a valid Shocker ID card at the University Bookstore, Heskett Center or at the ticket office in Charles Koch Arena.
General admission tickets for adults are $20.
Reserved seats are available for $23 or $25, depending on seating choice.
Student guest seats are $10.

The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and an hour and a half prior to games.

"Nature's Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention" is an exhibition of the works of more than 40 international artists in a wide range of media. Harnessing technology and inspired by nature's amazing design concepts, the show's innovative, eye-capturing art helps us understand and appreciate the life-or-death interdependence between the 10-20 million species on earth, including humans and the quality of the environment we share.

Service in the City - Veteran's Day
Veteran's Day is often a day without much celebration, but this year we seek to recognize the work of the armed forces in protecting everyone's freedom. Come together as we prepare packages to send to different bases around the to support our troops as well as provide appreciation for our veterans.

St. Petersburg Suprima Chamber Orchestra
Location: Wiedemann Recital Hall
The WSU College of Fine Arts Institute St. Petersburg International Music Academy will host a Suprima Chamber Orchestra concert. The Suprima Chamber Orchestra is the only student group from the United States invited to play at the 12th International Conservatory Week Festival dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the St. Petersburg Conservatory in Russia (http://conservatory.ru/week12
The Suprima Chamber Orchestra consists of students from WSU and the Wichita area under the leadership of the St. Petersburg String Quartet. The St. Petersburg Quartet is one of the world's most esteemed chamber ensembles. Appointed the inaugural Quartet in Residence at Wichita State University, the quartet includes Alla Aranovskaya, violin; Evgeny Zvonnikov, violin; Boris Vayner, viola; and Leonid Shukaev, cello.
