Artist's Talk with Tom HuckArtist's Talk with Tom Huck,"Rural Satire and Graphic Terror." Join Midwest artist Tom Huck as he takes the viewer on a ride of images from the back roads of rural America. Combining dark humor while channeling Albrecht Dürer, virtually any German Expressionist and Frank Zappa, his work presents a satirical view of small-town life in our region. Huck lives and works in St. Louis where he runs his press, Evil Prints. A regular contributor to BLAB! of Fantagraphics and the illustrator of The Roots' "Phrenology" album art, his work has been described as outlaw printmaking, pushing the boundaries of technique and content. Tom Huck's triptych "Snacktime Marcy" is on view Tuesday, Sept. 15 through Friday, Dec. 18, on the second floor of the Ulrich Museum. The set of three panels are part of the Ulrich permanent collection. Location: 210 McKnight Art Center West For more information, call (316) 978-3664, e-mail ulrich@wichita.edu or visit www.ulrich.wichita.edu. Free and open to the public.
