21st Annual Elements Multi-Media Art Competition | # Add to my Outlook calendar

Location: Rhatigan Student Center, 1st floor

View the artistic talents of WSU students who were selected to participate in one of WSU's longest-running art competitions. Entries were submitted in five categories including drawing, ceramics, mixed media, painting and printmaking. Winners are selected by local Wichita artists and will be announced at the Reception and Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the RSC, 1st floor.

Entry Form Deadline: Tuesday, Nov. 5 by 5 p.m.

Global Faith in Action is a governing body of student leaders with differing religious ideologies and faith practices that come together to focus on commonly held beliefs and live beyond our differences through dialogue and action. Spiritual Wellness Week is an opportunity for the community to participate in religious understanding on campus.

Exhibition: MFA Thesis Exhibition: Rachel Foster

Foster unflinchingly paints her everyday experience as a mother to five children and her loving, yet complicated, familial relationships. Faculty Recital: William Flynn, Jazz Guitar
Location: Duerksen Fine Arts Center, Miller Concert Hall

William Flynn, a Midwest native, is a young guitarist, composer and educator emerging into the contemporary jazz community with an increasingly original musical voice. As a performer, Flynn has spent years playing and freelancing in the Columbus, Ohio and Dallas, Texas areas. He has experience teaching both privately and at the collegiate level, and his writing has been featured in Just Jazz Guitar magazine.

Flynn holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas, where he held a position as Teaching Fellow. As a member of the One O' Clock Lab Band, he can be heard on Lab 2012. He serves as Visiting Instructor of Jazz Guitar at Wichita State University.
