17th Annual Elements Multi-Media Art Competition
12-day event: 11/9/2009 - 11/20/2009
Participate in the annual Elements Multimedia Arts Competition for a chance to win cash prizes. Categories include: painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media. Students need not be art majors. Applications can be found at www.wichita.edu/SAC or in room 219 of the RSC.

Application Deadline: Wednesday, Nov. 4 by 5:00 p.m.
$5 entry fee

Recruitment Activity: Multicultural Student Visit Day
High school juniors, seniors and transfer students are invited to discover first-hand all Wichita State University has to offer students from diverse backgrounds and to find out more about becoming a Thinker, Doer, Mover and Shocker by attending a Multicultural Visit Program (MVP).

These programs are the ideal time for students from multicultural backgrounds to break out of their normal routine and visit the WSU campus to learn more about WSU's academic and social resources. Students will get information on the admission and financial aid processes, meet with representatives of the academic colleges and mingle with current students and WSU staff.

Opera & Musical Theatre Series Presents: Mozart's Cosi fan tutti (They all do it!)

Two young lovers are convinced their girlfriends will always be faithful but the jaded Don Alfonso sets out to prove them wrong! A bet is made, disguises are donned and the games begin. Cosi marked the third collaboration between Mozart and the infamous librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte and was said to have been inspired by the gossip at the Viennese Court. In any case, the opera bubbles along like champagne in the process, exposing the foibles of men and women.

In Italian with English Titles. Tickets for this event go on sale Oct. 29 and are $16 with discounts available.
