Exhibition: MFA Thesis Exhibition: Rachel Foster
32-day event: 11/15/2013 - 12/16/2013
Location: Ulrich Museum of Art

The Ulrich Museum of Art is proud to present paintings by MFA candidate, Rachel Foster. Foster unflinchingly paints her everyday experience as a mother to five children and her loving, yet complicated, familial relationships. Her paintings boldly demonstrate the complexities of being a parent and the multi-dimensionality of female identity.

2-day event: 12/6/2013 - 12/7/2013
Location: Lake Afton Observatory

If you're more interested in objects a bit closer to home, the Lake Afton Public Observatory will also feature "Celebrity Craters." The craters on the surface of the Moon are, for the most part, named after famous scientists. Get a close-up look at some of the more notable lunar craters, and learn more about both the crater and the person whom it was named after. This program also includes observing a gas giant planet in our solar system. "Celebrity Craters" will be presented from 7:30-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings, November 8-9, 15-16, and December 6-7 and 13-14.

Admission
Adults: $5
Children ages 6-12: $3
Children under 6: free
There is a special family rate where two parents and their immediate minor children or grandchildren get in for $15.
