Practical Entrepreneur Training Tools: How to Market Your Business on Pinterest
Location: Devlin Hall

Join us for a presentation titled, "How to Market Your Business on Pinterest" by Andrea Feodorov. Pinterest drives more web traffic than Google+, YouTube and LinkedIn combined. Although Facebook still drives more traffic, their Average Order Value (AOV) is half that of Pinterest. The reason is intent. Pinterest users are searching for you, not milking virtual cows. With one click they are on your checkout page or purchasing straight from the gift section. This class will teach you how to:

- Setup and navigate a business account
- Craft a successful marketing strategy (with examples from Fortune 500 companies)
- Analyze campaigns, measure your pins' effectiveness and increase brand loyalty

Sam Ramey Scholarship Benefit Concert
Location: Duerksen Fine Arts Center, Miller Concert Hall

Since fall 2012, internationally renowned opera star and Wichita State alum Samuel Ramey has been a Distinguished Visiting Artist in residence at Wichita State University.

Join us as Ramey's 2012-2013 residency concludes with a concert of arias and opera scenes. Aspiring singers who have had the opportunity to work with Ramey will show what they have learned by performing a wide variety of operatic repertory from Bellini to Bernstein. Ramey will host the evening and join the students in singing the grand finale.

Proceeds from the concert will augment the Samuel L. Ramey Professional Development Fund, which helps WSU students launch their careers. WSU performance majors in voice and instrumentalists who play in the opera orchestra can apply for funding. Most important auditions are held in New York, Chicago or other major cities. In addition to auditions, competitions and summer workshops are among the career enhancing opportunities for which WSU students may seek support.

Tickets for this benefit event are $25 for general admission with discounts available.
