WSU Impulse Percussion
Location: Deurksen Fine Arts Center - Miller Concert Hall
Doors open a half hour before show time. Box Office is open one hour prior to the show in the Duerksen Lobby. (Please plan to arrive early to avoid lines.)
The percussion studio at Wichita State University is composed of about a dozen members, both undergraduate and graduate students. Students in the percussion studio perform in a variety of ensembles both on and off campus. On campus ensembles include WSU Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Arts, Steel Band, and many more.
Most members of the percussion studio also participate in the percussion ensemble, which performs regularly.
Under the direction of Gerald Scholl, students are taught new techniques, ideas, and styles of the many genres of percussion.
