Engineering Open House
Locations: Wallace Hall, Engineering Building, Beggs Hall

The College of Engineering will host their 59th annual engineering open house from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday, May 9th.

Tour labs, meet faculty members and talk to current students in aerospace engineering, bioengineering, computer engineering, computer networking, computer science, electrical engineering, engineering for manufacturing, engineering technology and mechanical engineering.

University Faculty Awards
Location: CAC Theater

The University Faculty Awards will be presented as part of the spring general faculty meeting. The honorees were chosen for setting the gold standard for teaching, research and creative activities at WSU.

There will be a reception at 2:30 p.m. with light refreshments to meet and greet the honorees in the CAC lobby. The faculty awards ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. The faculty general meeting will be held immediately following the awards ceremony.

Current Wichita State students can pick up free tickets with a valid Shocker ID card at Eck

Stadium ticket office. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

and an hour and a half prior to games.

Outfield: $10
Grandstand - Adult: $8
Grandstand - Discount*: $6
Outfield (Pavilion): $5

*Discount applies to children 2-12 and adults over the age of 65

Astronomy: Worlds of Science and Imagination
2-day event: 5/9/2014 - 5/10/2014
Location: Location: Lake Afton Observatory

Bring mom to the Observatory for the program "Worlds of Science and Imagination." Moms and grandmothers receive free admission when accompanied by a paying child. (Limit one free admission per paying child.)

Visitors will use the Observatory's 16-inch telescope to look at the Moon, Mars, Jupiter or Saturn and a multiple star system as Observatory staff discusses the science and the fiction surrounding them. For a full schedule of events, please visit http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2864

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 6-12. Children under 6 are admitted free. Special family rate is $15.00 for two parents and their immediate minor children or grandchildren.
