"Nature's Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention" is an exhibition of the works of more than 40 international artists in a wide range of media. Harnessing technology and inspired by nature's amazing design concepts, the show's innovative, eye-capturing art helps us understand and appreciate the life-or-death interdependence between the 10-20 million species on earth, including humans and the quality of the environment we share.

Shocker Volleyball Classic: Wichita State vs. Creighton
Location: Charles Koch Arena
Current Wichita State students can pick up free tickets with a valid Shocker ID card at the University Bookstore, Heskett Center or at the ticket office in Charles Koch Arena.
General admission adult: $8
General admission discount: $6*#

# Faculty and staff members are eligible to receive discounted price for volleyball season and single game tickets (limit of 2 tickets).
* Discount applies to children 2-12 and adults over the age of 65

Faculty Artist Series presents Deborah Baxter, Voice
Location: Wiedemann Hall
Dr. Deborah Baxter is in her 29th year of teaching at Wichita State University. The mezzo-soprano enjoys a varied career as performer, stage director and master teacher.
Her regional opera credits include thirty operatic roles, including Dorabella, Cenerentola and Oktavian; she has performed with eight orchestras; and has presented more than 40 solo recitals. She has directed productions throughout the Midwest and has served as President of Opera Kansas. Dr. Baxter has presented master classes in eight states, served as a master teacher for the prestigious NATS Intern Program and is on faculty of the Canta in Italia summer voice and opera program in Lucca, Italy.
Former students may be found performing nationally and internationally in major opera houses, touring productions and on Broadway.
