Event Time:9:00 AM - 9:30 PM

Location: Duerksen Fine Arts Center, Miller Concert Hall

The WSU Winds and Percussion Applied Music faculty , which include principal players in the Wichita Symphony, will give specialized clinics to help students prepare the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA) All-State excerpts. These clinics will help students to increase their ability of doing well at the KMEA District and All-State auditions for the KMEA Festival Bands and Orchestra.

The sessions will involve demonstrations and performances of the All-State audition music, practice habits, address performance/audition anxiety issues, and involve coaching of individual students who volunteer to play.

Many former participants have gone on to achieve success and inclusion in the KMEA District and All-State performing ensembles in past years after attending the WSU All-State Clinics.

For more information, contact Dr. Victor Markovich, Director of Bands and Winds/Percussion Studies at victor.markovich@wichita.edu.
Open to the public.
