CLUR is proud to offer the opportunity to serve in support of Earth Day Kansas activities this year.

"Meritrust Credit Union presents Earth Day Kansas" is a free event at the Sedgwick County Zoo for local students in grades 3 through 5 on Thursday, April 25. Earth Day Kansas promotes environmental education and citizenship in our community for a healthier planet. More than 6,000 students are expected to visit the zoo for this educational program.

CLUR volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Volunteers may choose to work a morning shift, an afternoon shift or all day. A rough outline of duties and responsibilities for each shift is outlined below.

Morning volunteers (8 a.m.-noon) will be helping check in the students and teachers and setting up for the day. Other activities include distributing lunches, activities with student, bus parking and general security. Afternoon volunteers (noon-4 p.m.) will be involved with students, checking out students, general clean up and the snow cone booths.
