Rev. Monroe will focus on the association of religious intolerance and fundamentalism with forms of oppression such as racism, sexism, classism, and anti-Semitism. An African American feminist theologian, she writes a weekly column, The Religion Thang, for Newsweekly, a spirituality column for Arise magazine, and an on-line column, Queer Take, on thewitness.org
