Learn from Jeff Fluhr Wichita s newest development initiative, Project Downtown: The Master Plan for Wichita. The plan focuses on key areas of our downtown, illustrating the potential we have as a community to grow. Presenter: Jeff Fluhr, President, Wichita Downtown Development Corporation. As President of the Wichita Downtown Development Corporation (WDDC), Jeff is responsible for carrying out the mission of the WDDC to strengthen Downtown Wichita as the heart of the community . In this capacity, he works closely with the WDDC Board of Directors, private sector partners and local government to stimulate new investment and interest in Downtown Wichita.Jeff has been working to revitalize downtown communities for nearly two decades. Prior to leading WDDC, Jeff served as the Assistant Executive Director of the City of Baton Rouge Downtown Development District from 1992-2008. His experience encompasses city planning, urban revitalization, funding strategies, project management and community coalition building. During his tenure, Jeff was instrumental in the implementation of approximately one billion dollars of private and public sector investment.Jeff holds a bachelor s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Kentucky and a master s degree in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University, which focused on urban planning and business.
