The CDS AuD program will begin in Fall 2004. This AuD program is the first in Kansas. In Kansas and nationally, programs and professionals are trying to shape AuD curricula and address the increased clock hour requirements (2000 clock hours) associated with the program. This supervisor's symposium will provide information to external supervisors about the new ASHA standards, ASHA's Knowledge and Skills Acquisition (KASA) format governing the AuD, and the proposed structure of WSU's AuD program. Options for developing partnerships with the CDS department and external supervisors will be presented that will provide supervisors opportunities to continue to improve and update their clinical knowledge and skills. Information on supervision requirements, external supervisor responsibilities, development of best practice supervision, and student evaluation forms will be presented. An interactive panel discussion will allow for sharing of ideas and experiences on all the above topics. For more details and the registration form, go to www.wichita.edu/cds/workshops.
