She is one of seven students who will be individually recognized for their excellent research and projects.The Delano Maggard, Jr. Graduate Research Grant was established by Dr Delano and Mrs. Erna Maggard in honor of their son in 1979. The grant supports graduate students in research. Nicole was nominated by Dr. Rosalind Scudder for her research project entitled "Emergent Literacy Skills as Predictors of Reading Achievement"
