Please join the WSU choirs as they perform repertoire by composer/conductor Z. Randall Stroope.

Dr. Stroope has a writing style that is extremely diverse with music appropriate for children choirs as well as music commissioned for professional choirs. He is one of the most active American choral conductors and composers working today. He has had recent conducting engagements at the American School in Singapore; Canterbury Cathedral, England; Salzburger Dom in Salzburg; Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.; Vancouver Symphony (British Columbia) and two performances of Mass at the Vatican in the past year. He has conducted at Carnegie Hall every year since 2000.

A special guest for the concert is faculty member Emily Sternfeld-Dunn singing part of a song cycle written by Stroope for soprano and piano. The concert will feature WSU's A Cappella Choir, Concert Chorale, Madrigal Singers and Women's Glee Club performing sacred repertoire as well as music composed around contemporary poetry.
