Location: Lake Afton ObservatoryMembers of the Kansas Astronomical Observers will be set up on the observing pad behind the observatory to help you learn how to use your telescope. They will also have some of their telescopes available for you to look at if you're looking for information on different types of telescopes. If you also decide to experience the program and exhibits offered inside the observatory, you will need to pay regular admission.Admission:$5 for adults$3 for children ages 6-12Children under 6 years old admitted free$15 family rate: two parents and their immediate minor children or grandchildrenThe observatory is located about 20 miles southwest of downtown Wichita on MacArthur Road at 247th Street West in Lake Afton County Park. It is immediately north of the lake, just off MacArthur Road.
