The Industrial, Systems, and Manufacturing Engineering Department at Wichita State University is committed to experience-based instruction and research in design, analysis and operation of manufacturing and other integrated systems of people, material, equipment and money. Simply put: Our graduates make the world a better place by improving the way things work.
We offer two undergraduate programs: Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, both of which are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org. The department also offers three graduate degree programs -- Master of Engineering Management, M.S. in IE, and Ph.D. in IE -- which allow specialization in manufacturing systems, ergonomics/human factors engineering and engineering systems.
