The American Collegiate Rowing Association has recognized two Wichita State rowers as All-Americans. Chelsea Chavez, a junior third-year rower, was awarded second team All-American status, while Rebecca Denny, a freshman, was recognized on the All-Freshman team.

"Chavez has been in our top crews all year," said Calvin Cupp, head coach of the Shocker rowing team. "She is a dedicated student athlete and a great team member."

Denny is a novice, but competed well throughout the spring. "She has been in our top novice line-ups all spring and rowed up into the Varsity 8," said Cupp.

All-American selections are based on career racing results, accomplishments within their team, individual performances and a coach recommendation. Members are voted on by the ACRA Board of Directors.
