Classic rock met classical symphonic strings for a memorable combination of sound Saturday night at the Hartman Arena. The Wichita State Symphony Orchestra teamed up with classic rock band Kansas for a crowd-pleasing performance for the fourth concert of the 2010 Collegiate Symphony Tour. "Feeling the energy of the crowd once we started playing was just unbelievable," said Ben Balleau, junior string bass player. "I have never heard anyone cheer that loud for us before. It was a pretty cool feeling." |
