Families of two longtime Salina friends spent Wednesday in a hospital waiting room as Sarah Thompson gave Charlie Fiorillo part of her liver. Fiorillo, 20, was still in surgery undergoing the liver transplant, which is aimed at giving him relief from years of torment from Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis, a genetic liver disorder known as Byler's disease. Thompson, 21, a junior at Wichita State University majoring in social work, underwent testing and learned she was a donor match. Created on Jan 9, 2013 3:19 PM; Last modified on Jan 9, 2013 3:21 PM
