April 05, 2024 — Suspenders4Hope is highlighting different departments and individuals on campus who are advocates for mental health and hopes their stories will inspire others to continue supporting one another in the community. The School of Social Work is being recognized for its support of the mental health of students, faculty, staff and health care professionals.

2024 Jabara Scholars, Annika Lindeman and Abby Rexford

Feb. 27, 2024 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University has named its two recipients of the 2024 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year’s winners are Annika Lindeman from Eisenhower High School in Goddard, Kansas, and Abby Rexford from West Jessamine High School in Wilmore, Kentucky. They will each receive more than $32,700 spread over four years to attend WSU and major in entrepreneurship.

Feb. 19, 2024 — The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University is launching a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality. The program will begin in fall 2024 with applications now open for interested students. It was developed in response to growing local and national employment needs in the industry.

Feb. 15, 2024 — Ten high school students from Kansas, Missouri and Texas have been awarded the Koch Scholarship at Wichita State University, starting in the fall 2024 semester. Each scholar each will be awarded $30,000 to attend WSU over four years.
