Aracely Martinez

Nov. 26, 2024 Aracely Martinez is a first-gen student in the United States at Wichita State University. Despite the challenges facing her moving from Paraguay to a new country, she took that as an opportunity to grow. She recommends other students look at the opportunities available to them while still in school to propel themselves into successful careers.

Orel Ovil

May 4, 2023 - Orel Ovil came to Wichita State University from Israel to play tennis and study in the W. Frank Barton School of Business in 2018. He is one of 10 students to earn Senior Honor recognition, the highest honor awarded to WSU students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership, involvement and service to WSU and the surrounding community.

Feb. 6, 2023 — Leanne Caret — a Wichita State University alumna, former executive president of Boeing, and former president and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) — is serving as the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Engineer in Residence for the College of Engineering at WSU for 2023.
